I purchased a Synology DS920+ for £493 last week, this week it was reduced by £90. I called Amazon to ask if they'd price match and they said no and advised me to order one at the new price and return it with the old invoice. This was over the phone so I don't have written confirmation.
Can anyone confirm that this will work? I'm worried that the invoice is matched to the exact box and it will cause problems, although looking at the invoice there is nothing that indicates it is matched. I can't just change the boxes because there is an ID on the box that matches the item inside but I'd really prefernot to return the original item because I spent a long time setting it up how I want it.
