Questions about Alton Towers

I have just booked a break at Alton Towers for a few weeks time. One night at the Alton Towers Hotel and two days in the park.

I will need to go straight to the hotel, park up and go to reception to collect my tickets which is fine but after looking at the park map, I am trying to figure out if I would then have to walk all the way back to the main entrance or could I get on the monorail, which appears to be next to the hotel, which goes directly into the park?

Also, I am a bit confused about the benefits of staying in the hotel. You get entrance to the park one hour early (but apparently not all rides are open?) and free parking at the hotels. Does this apply for both days, check in and check out days - would I get early entrance and free parking both days?

Sorry for all the questions but I cannot find answers to these and the girl I spoke to at AT was useless and told me to refer to the website!?

Thanks

No none know then?

try ringing again.. mite get someone diffferent.. cant see nothing on their T&Cs

You will leave your car in the Hotel car park. Just go to the monorail station which is next to the Splash Landings hotel to get into the park.

The benefits are not huge, but the experience is much better when staying in the hotel. The early ride time is only on your second day.

Free parking is for both days.

Make sure you eat a good breakfast, its amazing. And keep out of the bar for lunch, very very expensive!! We go to flambos in Splash Landings for food which is great!!

+1 Just about to type exactly the same. Its about 5 minute walk from the hotel to Monorail station  I walked to the hotel for the Field of 1000 Screams at the Scarefest last year. And it wasnt far at all.

I was told early ride time was for both days. ...... back to the phone then!

it can be for both days if u get there early enough - we did. there is a board up in the hotel that list the rides that are open early on each day we did nemesis twice, sonic spinball and then get round to Rita quick for ten o clock opening as the que is MASSSIVE all the time for Rita, 50 min queing for a 30 second ride!

No, go straight to Th13teen. And then onto Rita.

The ques for Th13teen have been getting quite long lately. And as people are joining the que for the new ride, Rita is getting smaller
But first of all when you get in the park as early as pos - go straight to Nemesis.
