Quidco 25% cashback on Ebay purchases scam.

Had this email pop up this morning, noifying me of this rather large amount of cashback through Quidco for Ebay purchases. Tempted, I priced up an AIO water cooler I've had my eye on and was a bit surprised to see its price was way beyond the rrp from pretty much all the retailers I've looked at previously. I seen one being sold by Scan, a reputable retailer. Marked up at £102.53. What an odd price, I thought. Went direct to Scan's website, same item, same free p&p - £83.99. Don't know if they're offsetting the 25% on other items by jacking the Ebay price, because at that point I gave up in disgust. Caveat emptor.

its only max up 10 pound cashback anyway, so not really worth buying anything more than 40 pounds.
Scam? Or buying something without due diligence? Given that cashback tracking is unreliable, I treat cashback as a bonus and base my purchase decision without including it.
Hardly a Quidco scam!! Blame Scan. I see this with MusicMagpie whenever ebay have an offer. Prices straight up....
