    Quidco Confusion!

Wanted a bit of info before I embarrassed myself with the Quidco team!

I purchased books from Waterstones online on the 28/02/09 over 3 transactions in order to use a discount voucher (£10 off £40+ spend).

The first order was for £40.68 after the discount, the second for £33.18 and the third for £34.43.

My first order has tracked and validated at £3.25, but no other amount is showing.

I am fairly new to Quidco and am not sure how it all works, I figure there may be a few reasons the other two haven't tracked. First off, the third order I placed was done so on an account in my OH's name as the voucher was maxed to two uses. So - will I not be paid cashback if this is the case? Also - this has yet to be sent as they are awaiting stock on one item in the order.

Secondly - the second order I placed was only sent out 2 days ago. So will this not show for a few days?

Am I limited to one cashback payout per merchant, per day?
Is the transaction not supposed to show in any way until a few days after it has been sent?
And - will it not be paid on my OH's account with Waterstones despite all details (bar the name and email) being different?

Many thanks to all of you who take the time to reply!

The problem is most likely the tracking cookies left by the merchant. You have to clear the cookies between transaction as quidco gets its money from referrals. As they know from the cookie on your system your not being referred as you have already been to the merchants site. So you need to clear your system. One of the best programs for this is Ccleaner it also clears the rubbish left from sites too.

Is there any need to use this program or does simply clearing your cookies in IE do the same thing?

Normally just clearing your cookies will do the trick. However you can get programs (legitimate and not) that leave a cookie repeater in your registry. So when you clear your cookies with IE it automatically replaces it. I use spybot so I have to authorise all registry entries anyway, but I mainly use ccleaner to keep my computer tidy. It also has a registry fixer and I use it to uninstall programs as its faster than windows uninstaller also you can stop startup programs.

The cashback has now appeared and been validated, even on the OH's account purchase.

I have used cCleaner several times before to reload trial software, it's worked perfectly.

    Thanks for the advice.
