wow i thought there would have been some debate but it seems quite convincing..... i shall go for quidco :)...kidding.

Heres the problem, i recently signed up for quidco (within the last 15 mins) can i still cancle my account.

Will sign up for TCB right away thanks a million guys

I don't think you can cancel your quidco account but the £5 fee comes out of the cashback you earn and doesn't get taken from your bank account. Just use TCB from now on and you'll be fine.

Ok, but if i have more than say £5 and i take out the remaining money i need to give my account/paypal details. What is stopping Quidco from "direct debiting" an annual fee of £5 every year?

they charge all their members £5 a year for being a Quidco member. However, they only charge you if you actually earn a minimum of £5, so you wont end up owing them money.

Quidco will automatically deduct the money from the cashback before you can withdraw anything to your bank account if you earn more than £5.If you earn less than £5 cashback in the year they won't take any fee. They don't take money from your bank account!

They don't take money from your account. They only take their annual fee from your earnings if you've earned more than that in the year. In my first year I didn't really use Quidco and they didn't take the £5 until the following year when I earned enough.

poor quidco they had us all but got greedy they will die out soon

I still use quidco, gonna have to check out TCB by the looks of it

think loads of us started on quidco....then realised stupidity of our ways!

I am also still one of the stupid ones it seems (having signed-up in November 2006 & not used any other service). I have no complaints. Everything expected to be paid has been paid. Nothing has caused me to doubt Quidco, but I am aware other services exist.

Whenever I do an 'ad hoc' check of cashback percentages between the two sites for the retailer I am intending to purchase from the difference is negligible.

Are there any retailers that offer substantial differences in cashback between the two sites?

BFN,

I havent used quidco since they paid me 1p for buying a tv from n ebay shop for £200, i told them no way should it track at 1p and they said its correct and told me i couldnt argue the case, and they wouldnt let me.

TopCashBack give you up to 10% extra cashback, and don't deduct £5 annually, so although most retailers pay the same to each, TCB means you have more cash in your pocket.

If I do not envisage purchasing anything from the retailers that offer "up to 10%" extra then I may not be gaining anything (as my annual £5 Quidco fee has already been paid this year).

Sorry if my query was vague; it was which retailers (not do retailers) offer substantial differences.

BFN,

I was using Quidco but then was converted over to TCB by dcx badass

I started on Quidco then got introduced to TCB, never looked back, since you dont pay for being a member and they pricematch any higher cashback found elsewhere its a no brainer.

Also I found ebay tracking on quidco terrible but on TCB it tracks all the time.... strange that oO

HFN,

Retailers don't offer the 10% extra, TCB itself does, so you get up to 10% on top of what the retailer pays out. It's "up to" because it's between 1% and 10%. Off the top of my head, I'm on 5%.

There is no reason to stick with Quidco.

how does TCB make their money since they claim 100% goes back to you........strange

Hey guys, been using HUKD and Quidco for a while and never really considered TCB (as I've had no problems with Quidco) but the response seems pretty overwhelming for TCB here.

Any particular reasons other than the £5 fee as to why you guys think TCB are better?

well for me:

1: no member fee
2: Highest cashback guarantee (you claim for this and I have never had one rejected)
3: your cashback gets topped up the following month depending what you earn
4: you get paid referral fees
5: look on the TCB forum and you can find member only offers with bonus cashback.
6:Tracking is far better than any other site I've used
7: user friendly site
8: great customer service

that's all I can think of atm, and no I don't work for them.... just a chuffed member

sorry to restart the thread after so long but was wanting some advice. I have started using TCB and was wondering what to do next.

I have bought a few items through TCB and i have the retailer stating "pending" with a £ logo but nothing moving to the confirmed, payable or claimed tabs.... how long does the process take?

I just wished I could withdraw my £20 cash back from quidco. I won't be using then again as they have held this £20 for ages and I only went with AA as the £20 cashback made it cheaper than anyone else!

well i have £7.50 with quidco but i doubt i will see that. The concensus seems to indicate TCB is a much better company, more reliable and more cashback!. make the switch and let me know how you get on.

I think I will do. I will still keep expecting this £20, Not much but its the principle. TCB here I come for the while

Interesting...especially considering HUKD and Quidco are the same people!

Probably explains why cashback takes months and months to come through. Same as the prizes people win on HUKD. Heard they take months and months to come through for some!
All I want is my cashback then I will avoid the place!

Just seen your post rupz,,,, it depends on the retailer how quick it switches from pending to confirmed,,,, Ive found some merchants its within a week or so and others within a month.

Any longer than that, then throw TCB an enquiry if its still stuck on pending after a month or so.

Don't worry though all gets paid int' end

Learn summit new everyday they say... I didnt know this oO

On the face of it you have to say TCB because they give a bonus onyour cashback. Personally I woudl go for Quidco though. They put your cashback straight in your account and always goes through. I have had quite a fe wgo untracked on TCB
