Quidco / Privilege Car Insurance

I've just joined Quidco and saw they have £100 cashback for car insurance with Privilege.
My car insurance is due so I got a quote from Privilege via the Quidco site.
Last year I used Esure and it cost £171
Privilege have just quoted like for like at £165, so with £100 cashback that's only £65 for a years insurance.
This sounds too good to be true, so I'm wondering if the Privilege quote is net of the cashback.
Could anybody comment on this?

Yep Privilege is a good un, got the wifes insurance through them earlier this month and it validated within a day.

I doubt if it's too good to be true. I bought my wife's fully comp car insurance with protected no claims and £100 excess via quidco last week for £150, so only £50 after cashback. The transaction tracked the same day too. Direct line insurance are the underwriter's by the way.

Can't comment on Privilege but I've used quidco for car insurance twice. last year got my insurance from Barclays for just over £80 after cashback, this year approx £20 less with Churchill. Got my Barclasy c/b without prob & not expecting any issues with churchill either. They both tracked within 24 hours.

The Quidco cashback is totaly seperate from the quote you have obtained.

If you are going to go ahead a couple of tips to minimise any problems you may encounter.
1. Clear all cookies on your PC.
2. Log on to Quidco
3 Using Quidco link proceed to the Privilege web site.
4. Complete the full transaction .

It can take a while for the transaction to show as tracked so don't panic if it does not show straight way.
Unfortunately there is no indication as to average times for the following:

Just to let you know it tracked within one day and was a competitive quote - well happy

Thanks for all the replies, looks like I'm onto a bargain!!!

and you've prompted me to check quidco and my churchill insurance cashback has already been paid, a couple of days before the new policy starts (that's weird, as technically I could still cancel it!).

Wow £165?
Sometimes I want to be old - I was chuffed when I paid just under £500 this year as it was £600odd 10 months before, OHs was £1200 :w00t:!
His is due now so gonna go check Privilege out!

EDIT: No I won't, they ain't accepting my postcode as being valid - very odd :?:

I always remember being told that being over 25 gave cheaper insurance for bikes and cars, then it was 30 and then 35.................................
Well at 40 I finally get cheap insurance, for my Aprillia RSV Mille. Trouble is I'm too bl**dy old and knackered to ride the thing!

And I bet the quote was about 10% of what they quoted me to ride my little RS50 when I was 16! (the baby replica, i used to drool over the Mille, good taste !)
