Quidco question - Re: "Ad and cookie blocking must be disabled for tracking to work".

Found 2nd May 2007
I just registered to use quidco and have never used them before. I also installed firefox just to use for it. I have a question about the settings for tracking an order, it says you should use to get the best chance of tracking.

Quidco says that "Ad and cookie blocking must be disabled for tracking to work". I have norton 2007 Internet Security and would like to know if you can choose ONLY to turn off the ad blocking, pop ups when ordering from quidco rather than having these turned off permanetly. (I dont want to be getting pop up ads from all the different sites I use). Quick note: I just looked at my Norton and dont see ad-blocking/cookie on/off option, anyone can tell me where to find them in 2007 version and is it really necessary or not ?

If you use quidco and your items usually track. What settings do you have security wise ? what have you disabled / enabled and has anything compromised your security through those settings ? e.g. using those same settings while visiting other web sites, etc.

I want to buy an harddrive from dabs through them that costs just over a hundred quid, really I want to order it ASAP but would rather set up the quidco properly to start on my quest to earning some cashback, I wouldnt be happy if I ordered and then it didnt track :-(

advice appreciated
