R4DS / DSTT etc Advice Needed - which one?

Found 15th May 2009
Morning all,

as the title suggests i want to get a r4ds type card for a newly purchased ds lite, and though i knew about a year ago all the types, i never got around to buying one.

Looking around there are newer cards around and i wondered what the majority are using and who they bought them from in UK (other than dealextreme)

Ones i've found are:

R4 Revolution
DSTT and new i verson
Supercard DS
M3

do they all do the same job? Cheers!

Me, the little un, my sister and her little un all use the R4 for the last 12 months at least and never had any probs, really easy to load games etc

I regularly buy the TT from Dealextreme and have had no probs with the 10 or so I got. Recently bought an Acekard DSi, again from there as I have a DSI as well and again, no problems. You just need to make sure you download the latest software from the card manufacturer's site to make sure there are no issues

I've found less compatibility problems with the DSTT than R4

I have the DSTT its fantastic! A lovely HUKD'er even pre loaded some games for me, with all instructions. So easy to use

Team console are uk based and cheap.

another vote here for the DSTT, around £6 from deal extreme, i've had 3 and no problems at all.

From what i've been reading it is a bit hit and miss on dealextreme with getting fake ones. Is that the case?

And what is the normal delivery times from DX?

anyone used an acekard and dstt and can compare the 2. i have to get an sd card anyway and the prices on team console aren't too bad.

ive had about 100 from Dealextreme and they have all been fine. I dont get the sd cards from there as ive been told they can be fake. delivery is usually between 1 and 2 weeks from dispatch. dstt are very easy to use. no software updates to use, very easy to set up. good luck with the hunt.

I got some stuff last week from DX 6 days.... Longest has been about 12 about a years back, never more than 2 weeks...

If your unsure re fakes on DX read the reviews 1st below the item, you wont go wrong....

i think the fakes from dealextreme is a myth, they're all cheap items knocked up in the far East anyway.

I've had about 20 from DX no problems, agree with the above - steer clear from the SD cards as they can be hit & miss

Have had orders delivered as quickly as 5 days as long as 3 weeks (don't order over chinese new year)

But slow delivery is the price you pay for them being so cheap

Also beware a lot of the "UK" stockist drop ship them from the far east anyway
