Try Green flag rescue quotes start at £25

Try AA go through quidco! practically free!

i use my club card vouchers to pay for my RAC cover. which in my logic means i get it for free!

i got the full wack for about £35 (look at m.s.e) wouldnt touch the aa/rac rip off murchants

I would avoid the AA just on the pure principle that they no longer have patrols available between 0200hrs - 0600hrs, break down between these times and they will arrange recovery/rescue but at your cost.

RAC using Tesco clubcard deals..roadside/recovery/onward travel costs £33.25 of Tesco clubcard vouchers...normal cost is £133

if you bank with TSB you get AA for free

All well and good till you break down at 0400hrs, I reckon it's disgusting how the AA have pulled these patrols. I left them purely on this matter. Not that I drive much through the night, but I like to know I'm safe and covered when I do.

i found rac the cheapest, they quoted me around £42 but i phoned up and said i wanted to cancel as the AA was cheaper, they then said they could do it for £29.99
Try playing one against the other, you may get it cheaper.

I think you have to have a certin account though? (one with a monthly fee)
I have the select account, think I get AA cover, mobile phone insurance and something else...?!

I like RAC because they cover me and not a vehicle. Been with them for about 5 years now and I always force them to renew me at a discounted price (for new customers) or I say I'll leave.

Damn, I'm tight.

I would personally go for RAC as I have heard some people had a bad experience with the AA.

I was with the RAC and when I broke down on a motorway they tried to charge me for a call out. I didn't pay because they took over 4 hours to get to me and I had 2 small children with me. All the time I was waiting 3 RAC vans drove past us. In the end after numerous phone calls, a local recovery driver turned up, but was very reluctant to drive me to my local Ford dealer (over 40 miles away) eventhough I had the correct cover. I think there service is rubbish. I didn't know you had to pay for a call out if you use the service. Needless to say, I'm not with them anymore
