Random - Hotel recommendations in central UK

Looking to go away on the 1st July for 2 nights. The 1st is our wedding anniversary. My wife has always wanted to stay in a hotel that has bath robes in the room.

We will have our 2 year old with us, however she is incredibly well behaved so think we could go anywhere really.

Any recommendations for nice hotels within 2 hours of Peterborough and under £120 or so per night?

Ever been to Harrogate (120miles from Peterborough according to google maps)? Nice little city and the 'Hotel du Vin' should tick all the boxes, lovely little hotel when I stayed there last time (which in faireness is some years ago):

Just had a check on the webpage and they have a special for £125 including dinner and a bottle of wine:

    I can second Harrogate, balmoralhotel.co.uk/

Lovely Suites, and nice breakfasts. If I were you I would email, say you're looking for a nice suite for your wife (as a suprise) and ask what the best price they can do (we got one for £120 with wine) in Feb. Nice staff.

Lol, did I touch a nerve in your thread.

I don't even need to point out the inaccuracies in your post as you are clearly a buffoon

Just an idea, when you've found a nice hotel, why dont you buy some really good quality bathrobes yourself, have the hotel put them in the room, then when you leave you can take them with you x

Thanks, I did think that. Not sure a Travellodge and some George bath robes is the same though

Will keep looking, had a quick look at the ones suggested earlier and they seem nice, thanks
