Rockstar Games has delayed the release of forthcoming downloadable content (DLC) for Midnight Club: Los Angeles.The Midnight Club: Los Angeles South Central pack was previously scheduled for release this week, but has been pushed back to March 19.
In the pack, gamers will access the new South Central area of the US city, which is claimed to increase the playable map by around a third in scale.
The DLC comes in two versions with the basic map expansion being available to download for free.However, the South Central Premium Upgrade will include the maps, alongside new vehicles and items in the garage, at a cost of £7.99 from the PlayStation Network or 800 Microsoft Points from Xbox Live.

Peaches Geldof has claimed that she was "stroked" by Michael Jackson during a visit to Disneyland when she was aged just eight.The 19-year-old was appearing on Celebrity Juice when she apparently made the revelation before a studio audience.She said: "I was eight years old, I was at Disneyland with Pappy Geldof and the fam [family], we were all hanging out there, and somehow, for some reason, Michael Jackson was there doing some sort of promotional thing and he invited a load of kids who were staying in the Disney hotel to come meet him."He was in this one room, and we went in and I was really excited and he was sitting on a huge throne at the end of the hall, flanked by Mickey and Goofy."The image is burned in my mind of him there, just like "come closer", and I went and I sat on his lap and then he proceeded to stroke me and whisper in my ear a little bit. Mexican police have seized over 60,000 pirated video games and related software during raids in the Tepito area of Mexico City.The Metropolitan Delegation in Camarones of the Procuraduria General de la Republica, alongside the Federal Preventative Police, also confiscated 252 CD/DVD burners and 98,000 items of packaging destined for illicit software.This forms part of a major crackdown on piracy in the Latin American country, which has resulted in around one million pieces of pirated video game packaging being seized.Michael Gallagher, president of US trade body The Entertainment Software Association, welcomed the actions of Mexican authorities.
"Piracy hurts artists and entrepreneurs, paralyses the development of a local game industry and stymies our industry's contributions to economies," he commented.
"We commend law enforcement officials for their actions in this raid and are fully committed to supporting authorities in Mexico and around the world in their efforts to combat entertainment software piracy."

Disney's Black Rock Studio has revealed that it is working on an innovative new multi-platform racing game titled Split/Second.The Pure developer announced that races in the game will be staged in a "city rigged for destruction" as part of a "hyper-competitive reality television show".Players will compete for the finishing line by triggering the destructive environment to knock out rival cars, with the aim of becoming the eventual season champion.Craig Relyea, Disney Interactive Studios' senior vice president of global marketing, said that the game will enable players to "strategically take out their opponents by dynamically altering the course in real time".Game director Nick Baynes added that it will also deliver "huge memorable moments on par with the biggest blockbuster action films".Split/Second will be released at some point in early 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Wrestling star 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin has joined the cast of Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables.Austin, whose acting credits include The Longest Yard and The Condemned, will star alongside Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whittaker and Mickey Rourke in the action movie.The film centres on a group of mercenaries assigned to overthrow a South American dictator by the US government.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel actress Charisma Carpenter signed up earlier this week to play the girlfriend of Statham's character.

Boyband McFly are to make a cameo appearance in an episode of Hollyoaks, DS can exclusively reveal.Little is known about their guest spot, but they follow in the footsteps of girlband The Saturdays, who filmed a stint for E4 spin-off show Hollyoaks Later at the end of last year.A Hollyoaks source told DS: "We've yet to finalise all the details yet, but we hope that they'll be singing one of their classics."The foursome are due to film at the soap's studios within the next few weeks and will make their screen cameo at some point in May.McFly kick off their 'Up Close...And This Time It's Personal' tour with support from David Archuleta next month.The group have secured sixteen Top 20 singles and five Top 10 albums since first finding fame in 2004.

Capcom vice president Christian Svensson has hinted at a Western release for its Japanese hit Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation Of Heroes on Nintendo Wii.

A Western port has always been a possibility, with Svensson responding "don't rule it out" when quizzed on the matter by VideoGamer.com."That is all I can say right now," he added. "We are still actively working on having that happen. I can't say it's happening definitively.
