I want to make a echo pi but in all the guides they say to use the raspberry pi 3 and I'm wondering if I'd be able to do it with the 2nd raspberry pi model B

This is a good guide click here , looks like you will need to manually install the latest version of java on the older pi's

Can you enable always on now? When I did it you had to press a physical button which kinda defeated the object, might as well just use a web browser and the test site.

I used that guide although I'm at bottom where it says "sudo systemct1 start AlexaPi.service" and well it's saying command not found anyone know why

it's the systemct1 it can't find

Can't find the command in the guide, but it probably should be systemctl ("l" at the end, not "1"). systemctl is a standard linux command.
