    Re-made Mk 1 Golfs & Old Beetles?

Does anyone know any websites where you can buy re-made Mk 1 Golfs & Old Beetles? because i have heard that they still make them in other countries like South Africa?

Also does anyone know if they still re-make mark 1 or 2 Escorts & the mark 1 Astra?

My first car was a Mk 1 red Golf GTi. I loved that car, especially the way when you cornered hard it went on 3 wheels because the suspension was so stiff.........and i made a £900 profit when i sold it to some enthusiast. It may not have had the Sat Nav, full electrics and all the other remote gadgets my cars got now, but at least it was fun to drive.

Ford Escorts are no longer manufactured anywhere.

Whilst Brazil used to make the original Beetle I believe that stopped many years ago, I think Mexico was the last place to produce the Beetle but producation was halted there about 2 years ago too. (think they make the new one now)

Yeah, basically any website that deals in second hand motors.

As I said previously, they are not made anymore (at least the one's I mentioned and I don't think the others are either) so you won't get a new one.

There are some people who restore these type of vehicles for a hobby, and that would be your best bet if you want a good condition one, but the best place to find them is probably at a classic car shows that tend to be held from the beginning of May through to September up and down the country. I know these may not be 'classic' by the true definition, but you will often find this type of vehicle there.

Google 'classic car show' to find details of these events

Having said that, some restorers are better than others, so unless you know what you are looking at, always get professional help before agreeing to hand over any money.
