My friends uncle has just bought a pub and is changing it to an indian / english resurant and wants to change the name of the pub to something more resturanty. Were struggling to come up with any ideas so thought id ask you guys for some help with the name.

Any suggestion please leave below, thanks in advance!

If he chooses mine I'd like a free meal for 1

Just add bar and restaurant to the original name.

I assume they want to have regular customers who are there to drink as well? If they don't aim for that then they are silly as regular customers would be in every night of the week on way home from work etc where as a restaurant they won't get that. If you change the name too much it can make regular customers feel alienated and can also put people off nipping in for a quick bite. (my parents were in the pub industry when I was growing up)

The Chicken and Duck?
The Lamb ( tandoori)?

seriously - The Lord Ganesh

There's one I went to one called 'Passage to India'...I now call it 'Back passage to India' it was so bad.

I like Jewel In The Crown suggestion, you could call the pub side of things The Crown and the restaurant side of things The Jewel...in The Crown.

The Packet Inn

The Tea and Tandoori.

Then you can open at lunch selling a fine selection of teas and sandwiches as not that many people want curry dishes at lunch time.

hi try this one!

FOOD FROM THE HART

Try looking into the history of the building? See what it previously has been and think of a name then, something nostalgic.

As a wine bar local to mine has just opened called The Old Bank which about 15years or so ago was a old Lloyds TSB bank.
