Anyone know the cheapest place to get some good 2700mAh (decent brand) ones and a decent charger? I use them alot so I don't mind paying for a decent set. Also will any recharger recharge any batteries, my dad said I couldnt use his charger on these 2x 1800 and 2x 2000 ones I have as he said its too powerful for them, but he knows nothing about batteries, just making sure before I blow something up.

yes they lidl sell chargers too. The lidl batteries are great for everyday use but you will need a stronger ones if you want them to last any length of time for most digital cameras.

sheps i got the AA rechargeable batteries from Lidl and they are 2500 is that not good ? The AAA are 900 mAh. I know the £1 shop ones are 800 no good for man or beast but i thought these Lidl ones were good especially for the price

It's worth investing in a fairly decent charger, e.g this Uniross Sprint for £16.94 delivered - mymemory.co.uk/mem…mAh

Very cheap chargers will damage your batteries, since they just have simple timers that either don't fully charge up a flat battery befere it cuts off, or worse still overcharge one that just needed topping up.

Go onto fleabay and look up "vapextech" or similar. Buy a bulk lot (maybe split an order with a friend) and just use them for everything. That way, you get into the recharging habit proper and won't accidentally throw batteries away.

With very exceptions (smoke alarms, wall clocks, rarely used remote controls) that need changing once per year, it's much better/cheaper/greener just to use rechargeables for everything.

Plus, you won't ever find yourself at local Garage at 9am Christmas morning trying to buy some AA's for that "batteries not included" present...

2500? How much for? I paid £3.50 for 2 duracell 1700 ones from Argos that wasn't that bad :p.

Lidl batteries really are great for the price (£1.99 for 4 AA batteries) and I use them in everything except my camera but my camera really seams to go though batteries.

I never noticed the lidl ones are 2100mAh (thought they less but never looked until now) but they definitely don't seam to last as long as my fuji or energizers that are both 2100mHa.

I hate changing the ones in my camera all the time (as I use it alot), the ones I use most in my camera are 3200mAh and I also use 2800mAh as spares, but as I say it is heavy on batteries.

I just been into Lidl and asked about the rechargeable batteries and he got them from out of the stock room. They only seem to be out on display when they are on a offer, then if they dont sell them all the put them in the stock room.
I went to 2 Lidl shops and in the bigger shop the guy went and got me some. They scan at the same price £1.99 AA 250 mAh ..
They have on the packaging Ni-MH 2500mAh 1.2V

I bought some more today at Lidl iv'e used these in a digital camera dozens of times and they seem just as good as branded to me.
