For a reasonably priced vacuum / hoover ? Ideally don't want to spend over £150.00 for it and needs to work on carpet and wood floors .

I have this and love it. One thing to keep in mind is that you cant use it on full power if your carpet is thick. It'll stop straight away. I have to use it on 50% (suction power can be adjusted using the slider on handle) and it works great.
miele powerline series are good. here is one on sale on amazon, if you are not in a hurry.

Has to be a Henry.

Don't worry that's it's not bagless, takes months to fill and you just remove the bag and pop a new one in

10x Genuine HEPA bags for a tenner.

I've been round all the bagless, cyclone etc...still big love for my Henry Xtra.
