Recommended (cheap) mini server with enough horsepower to run multiple Operating Systems

I would like to run 3 operating systems (Windows / Linux) at the same time in a virtual environment. I am looking for a mini server to use at home for this purpose (shouldn't be too noisy). Is there any reasonably priced hardware that you would recommend for this?

First answer will be HP microserver. Cheapish, upgradeable.

It sure which is your 3rd OS

Look at this for virtualisation.

Of course you can run ESXI on quite a lot of old hardware. I run 10 Linux vm's on an 8 year old viglen quad core desktop motherboard with 8gb. Works very well indeed.

second the hp microserver option

I run a microserver which does fine with virtual machines. However if I was coming into the market now this sort of machine would tempt me as it's cheaper than the microservers are, has more cores and also a little bit more powerful than the HP would be.
