Recommended me a good android phone under £200 please?

My dear old S4 is well and truly on its way out, with several android 'boot' thingys a day as soon as it loses power (which is a frequent thing as it has a 'sim card removed, restart' glitch!).

I would prefer a similar sized phone, with similar (or better specs).

Needs to be able to be purchased either amazon prime or store bought tomorrow as I cannot manually keep restarting my phone . Not sure how many more start ups it has left in it!!

Was considering a Samsung A3 (2016) but not sure looking at some of the reviews!?

Any help by technologically minded people greatly appreciated! :0)

Shame you can't wait until the end of the month as the 2X is released, and is better, albeit a little more expensive.

    Network?

    Network?

    Vodafone/unlocked

Moto G4 / Xperia XA, both decent.

Ok, so the Motorola G4 plus is considered (by several review sites) one of the best budget smartphones available for under £200 new.

Or there is the Vodafone Smart series of handsets if you're not looking for all the bells and whistles. You may have to go direct to Vodafone for these.

The G4 plus was an option I was thinking of, but I previously had a moto g (4g) and had serious issue of it losing signal and not recovering. (I tried it again last night in desperation but still no signal)
Kinda put me off of motorolas.

I had the same issue with the G4 not recovering signal had to reboot it each time. Might be a software issue that's now fixed but Motorola normally have the best signal

I just seem to have the worst luck with phones!

Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 for £130 is very difficult to beat for the price. Great screen, excellent battery life, 2Gb RAM and NFC for Android Pay: shop.vodafone.co.uk/sho…568

Also down to £112 at Asda if you can find one: hotukdeals.com/dea…370

Only cost me £1 to unlock on eBay as well.

If anyone else has any suggestions it would be great!?

moto g4+ dual sim _ no dropouts - constant 4g on tesco - excellent public wifi was cheaper on Amazon.

Battery life on all phones is VERY dependant on local signal conditions.

We had terrible signals where I live for several years, due to a problem with the mast that all the networks shared; my "feature" phone would barely last 3 days, and smart phones of any brand would expire in less than a day.
I took that feature phone to Moscow, and the battery lasted 14 days...

I am seriously considering the Huawei p9 lite. Would this be a good option?
I have looked into reviews and it seems okay but would like from a personal experience?

It's worth checking these prices against appliances/laptops direct. If you look at the small print they're from the same supplier and usually a little cheaper, even taking into account that delivery is free with Debenhams and is charged for with Appliances Direct.

Moto G4 and G4 Plus have a known fault of 'ghost touch' and Motorola customer service is abysmal. I would advise anyone buying one to purchase from a third party retailer, rather than directly from Motorola. I won't be buying any Motorola or Lenovo products ever again.

As I said above, my moto g lost signal completely and as it was a gift from my mum (ie I had no receipt) Motorola refused to help me. Put me off a tad too

I have bitten the bullet and ordered the p9 lite. Fingers crossed!
