REDUCED FOOD AT SUPERMARKETS DUE TO XMAS, BOXING DAY ETC.

Worth checking your local supermarkets as most have lots of stock to clear due to christmas, boxing day and new years day. They have over ordered food due to xmas and are reducing it due to closure over xmas.

    Good luck all.

    Happy christmas ☺

We often do this each year. A few years ago we got an extra large gateau (that was for 12 people) reduced to 5p

Im gonna rock down to tesco when it has an hour left to go, you feel like a scrubber but hey, you get cheap food.

Every year I think I'll buy new xmas decorations after xmas when they are cheap and every year the nice ones sell out in the run up to xmas leaving only the crap

I go to have a quiet laugh at the Zombies mindlessly walking round the isles waiting for the price gun to come out before the y surround the poor assistant trying to mark it down. I sometimes take food just before it gets reduced to annoy them.

Waitrose, West Byfleet. Last year 2 turkeys priced at £44 & £48, bought for £6 & £8. £75 rib of beef for £17.

I can't polish off a chicken within 3 days let alone a turkey, always left overs after the curry, the soup etc

I'm sure anyone buying a turkey knows how big it is, buying 2 for £6 and £8 is a bargain. Put one in the freezer for Easter and invite some guests around.

You should have a go at jointing a chicken, you aren't squeamish are you? You get 8 pieces normally, goes a long way for the price.

Been into Tesco Extra here in last hour, some reductions on stuff, not so much on other things that they really should be shifting. I'm vegetarian but there was a huge leg of gammon was £75 down to about £56 x

not sure why anyone should look down on people trying to bag a bargain of reduced food. rather that then it go to waste. ive seen a few carazy episodes where people went nuts for the reduced food which was shocking to watch but funny too. But if you're disciplined to go and get a bargain, then fair plays to ya.

I remember that one, I dropped it out of the box and it fell on the floor. Our floor manger just told me to put it back in the box and stick a 5p sticker on it, he said that some mug would buy it.

I never buy reduced meat, normally you see stuff littered round the shop, dumped on shelves and at tills etc, I have convinced myself that it is that left to warm up for ages products that end up reduced and I always pick stuff up from right in the middle of the shelf, convinced that whats at the back is proper old and whats at the front may have just been put there after being kicking around the shop for awhile. ( but then I am ocd among other things).

my asda always has loads of trolleys full of food lined up against the windows behind the checkout, I once asked what they where thinking it was online shopping and was told it was the stuff dumped round the shop, they pick it up, fill a trolly with it and leave it there until a shelf stacker has time to return it to its place of origin.
