    Rejected a courier delivery

I just ordered a monitor on play then realised it didn't have speakers. I tried to cancel it after 10 minutes I had placed it, but it was too late. I phoned them too but they said because it was already 'packing' it was too late. To send it back it will cost £6 because its my mistake. If I reject the courier instead, would mean it would be returned and I'd get a full refund.

I had a problem with Play and they told me to do the same after a order went through twice by mistake. When I tried to reject the package the driver just put it on the ground and left!
It cost me £3 to send it back but at least I got the refund.

Play will still charge you a return fee.

if you reject it and don't sign then you can't be held responsible if the courier just puts it on the ground surely?

Why try and 'get out of it'? By yr own admission it was you that c**ked-up, not Play. People like you make the costs for everyone go up.

Probably, but what was I suppose to do? It was pouring with rain and I thought for £3 I'm not going to argue. Should have done really, as they'll get away with it more in the future.

not sure about international implications but currently uk and eu law is covered by the DSRs or Distance Selling Regulations, you are within your UK rights to simply reject the delivery and get a full refund, haven't a clue whether Jersey is in the EU though, you'll have to google it.

its not, play are terrible if anything goes wrong as well,i never buy anything electronic from them as after 28 days they they wont have anything to do with any kind of warranty if it goes wrong, which is ok if your buying from a major manufacturer, but i bout a sound rocker chair that died after three months and play told me i had to send it to china for repair....they even gave me the address, after much arguing and threats from me over the next week they eventually gave in and picked it up for a refund.....but i learnt my lesson...ok for cd,blurays...etc but nothing else
