Hi guys. I need to replace the lock as I've lost the key. I have this handle on both sides. before I go dismantling the get the handles off is it as simple as undoing these screws and slide the bar over?
thanks.

I believe its straight forward.

Undo the screws on the handle, remove the bar inbetween the handles.

Undo the lock on the side of the door and pull out of the door.

Slide new lock in and screw in.

Put bar back in and screw handle on.

Yep very easy if you are replacing like for like.

Depending on which way the door opens, you may also have to undo a grub screw and flip the catch over as well.

For some better quality locks you can get a new set of levers and keys to re-key the lock instead of replacing, not sure if they are much cheaper than a new lock.

If it is an external door, you need a 5 lever lock or better, 3 lever locks aren't very secure.
