Reputable contact lenses - Any recommendations?

Can't see many posts about this so does any one have recommendations where to buy contact lenses online or in store, for good value for money. If you had a bad experience, anything I should avoid as never had contacts before?

thank you in advance

I use daysoft they're about £6 per eye for a box of 30 daily disposables and I've never had any issues with them

Just found the website daysoft.com so assume its from there, its asking:
Please select your current contact lens brand:*

No idea what to put, as doesn't offer "never worn before", so do you think Classic is best, or Silk?

go for classic , silk can be a bit hit n miss with irritation, why not try a box of each as it's only six quid

Do u get regular check ups with this

If you have never had contacts before you really need to go and see an optician. They will assess you properly, give you a free trial and make sure you aren't suffering any adverse reactions to the lenses. Once you are confident with using them you can then look to buy on-line. I also use Daysoft and think they are excellent for both value and service.

Nice one thanks - good price so I'll give them a try

I use vision direct or lenswsy I just check both to see who is cheaper at the time. Never had a problem with either.

If you haven't had them before I would go to an opticians, ( I use Boots), and have a free trial, they will check your eyes first and recommend which type of lenses you are most suited to, I use the monthly lenses, and you get a free check up every year and discounted eye tests. If you would prefer to buy them yourself you can always do that once you have gotten used to them

I used day soft very good .
when I was a uni had them in for days on end when ****

yes every year

I used to use daysoft. In the last year i stopped and went to an optician and got acuvue oasys. The difference between the 2 brands is shocking. I used to have constant trouble with daysoft lenses feeling uncomfortable or very dry . I think i now pay a few pounds a month more than i used to but well worth it.

I use specsavers. Pay £15 total a month which includes monthly lenses, solution and all aftercare. Also get free eye tests and glasses. Really can't fault them.

For a first time user you need to see an optician and maybe go on one of there plans for a while until you know they are right for you. Like others have mentioned Specsavers or Boots would be a good place to start. You only have 1 pair for of eyes you can't be too careful!

Lenses.contact.co.uk were cheapest for mine (total dailies 1, incredibly comfortable but pricey)when last comparing prices couple quid tcb and arrived within 4/5 days. As others say you should def see optician first though.
