Requesting PayPal refund for IPTV?

Posted 31st Mar 2019
So I paid for 6 months service through PayPal and after a month I've lost access to all channels. I've tried contacting the guy via text messages and phone calls but no response.

Do I have the right to request for a refund from the provider?

I'm Amazed they offer refunds for an illegal service.

Ironic isn't it, that people come here complaining about losing a service that is quite obviously illegal, then they complain when their "service" disappears after a month and they want a refund on it!

That’s a usual scam and your unlikely to get your money back but it’s worth a try I guess.
i got a refund off of paypal for a Netflix 6 month subscription, it only worked for a few days, so i put in a claim through paypal explained everything and forgot all about it, about a month later the princely sum of £6-99 was credited to my account, result.
Open a eBay case, wait 8 days, then eBay will step in and refund you. (done this countless of times).
Preordered something online that was supposed to be here this month. They are ignoring phone calls, Facebook, Twitter, Insta & Ebay. How do I get my money back :/ ?
Yes, I put a claim through PayPal a few months ago and got my £25 back.
Was a 6 month sub that went off after a few days.
The claim went through PayPal as an "entertainment subscription" 😁
Give it a try.

Yeah Feb 7th. Yeah, is very active on Ebay however preordered off their website
My last 3 IPTV sub's via eBay have all disappeared after a month and each time I've lodged a PayPal dispute and got my cash back
Did you purchase through eBay?

If not did you send the payment 'friends and family' or 'good and services'??

Either way you need to dispute it through PayPal, but depending on answers to the above will determine your success rate.
I pay £12 per 3 months for the past 12 months with same provider without any problems

I don’t know why you think it’s illegal as most smart TV’s have a built in IPTV app to enable you to subscribe to a IPTV provider it’s like saying Spotify, iTunes, Netflix, Amazon prime, and Now TV are illegal as they are all a subscription service via the internet.
So chose your words carefully

However, you are paying for a service that provides unlicensed/copyright material I imagine. As you will be receiving paid viewing channels that your provider is offering. Just because you have apps on devices that can view channels legally or illegal, does not compare to Spotify/Now TV and the like, as they pay the license fees and are they own source such as Netflix.

You have a car that can go faster than the speed limit, the question is you choose to go faster or not. Similar you choose to watch an illegal service or not. So when their is an issue with the service you can't askbfor a refund. Complain to the provider yes, if it is a good provider they will communicate and respond with any luck resolve the issue.

Alot of providers are fly by night, they get in, get your money and close. There are also alot of trusted providers who will resolve your issues and never have a problem, if they do they communicate so you are aware etc.

So I think the question is, you should choose your providers more carefully
The point I was making "IPTV" is Not Illegal and to say or imply that it, is not True.
If you buy on internet shopping sites that you check the feed back and how long they have been trading.

Even the legal services are likely hacked or purposely deactivated/locked after a period to maximize profit.
It's a roll of the dice you could get lucky and it works for the duration or it could last a few days.

I'd be surprised if even with the legal services didn't have t&C's against for profit account sharing.

This thread is CLEARLY about services that are rebroadcasting illegally.

My words were chosen correctly.

I never said IPTV was illegal, I said illegal service.

If the OP of this thread is subscribed to a legal IPTV service I'll eat my hat.

Most if not all IPTV providers rebroadcast Sat/Cable channels, there's nothing legal about that, Sat/Cable pay millions for the rights and they pay nothing.
