Retail flour shortage - where to buy flour in bulk.

With a national shortage of retail packs of flour, I came across this site which maps out local bakeries, wholesalers and supermarkets which sell flour in bulk to the general public.

Simply enter your post code and hit search to see your nearest vendors contact details.

Many people local to me are desperate to get their hands on the precious white stuff. I purchased 16kg of plain white flour yesterday from JJ Food Service in Doncaster for £7.49, and distributed it to those in need.

If you can help anyone in your local area obtain this essential home ingredient (following social distancing of course), then please do so.

Morrisons and Asda have started selling 1kg bags from their instore bakery.

No need for anyone to bulk buy / hoard and create problems.

I ordered 16 kg sack from Amazon.
To add to @spiderbifida 's great suggestion, some Morrisons stores are also selling their 'bakery' large sacks (16kg I think) for £9 too.

I hadn't seen ANY flour of any description in either Tesco or Morrisons since the start of lockdown either! - until last week when Morrisons have broken down some of their own sacks into 1kg paper bags. Finally got some!
Not seen any flour in our area since all the hoarders bought it up at the beginning of 'Lock Down'. Normally bake our own bread but no chance of getting ingredients at the moment .Plenty of bread in the shops now though .

They said, "most", so they weren't. There's been flour in my local Asda 2 out of the 4 weeks I've been in - I picked up a couple of bags each time.

Yup, I read the thread on here about that and picked up some bread flour from the Asda bakery - just remember they're doing it as a courtesy, so people should be polite when they're asking - there are some rude "individuals" out there who like to demand things! Manners cost nothing

According to NABIM, only 4% of the total milled flour is sold through supermarkets. No hoarding, no problems.

I keep hearing about this shortage of flour but every time I've gone into the Lidl and Sainsburys near me, they have a good supply in stock. I've also been baking during the lock-down (still trying to bake bread properly, so far my results have not been good) and I've had no problem getting flour.

It depends on the gullibility (and selfishness) of the local population. If you’re lucky and live in an area where people aren’t idiots, there will be plenty for everyone. Unfortunately there are plenty of areas (mine included), where a ‘jacks alright” attitude and Facebook paranoia lead to selfish hoarding and a shortage. We’ve just got the flour bags in our local Morrison’s, good idea, but shouldn’t be needed and no doubt a good mone6 spinner for them too

I'm in London, we have our share of idiots: my local shops are all good for flour but still out of loo roll

Have you seen the prices on eBay for flour? Also adding crazy delivery charges. Amazon is expensive too.

Prices isn’t something I think about when we are talking about a cheap consumable. If you prefer saving a few quid and having to be in contact with the outside world then enjoy:)
I surely won’t be socialising because of the lower flour prices
40665555-fxeXY.jpgJust post in a local group nextdoor/Facebook etc and someone will tell you where they found it. Was greeted by this in my local Lidl having seen empty shelves elsewhere was so surprised I took a picture.
Flour here everywhere where I went. Lidl, Morrisons, Waitrose had plenty.
