Returning an item to Mammas & Papas, Faulty but no receipt?

Purchased a sleep pod from M&P's and just washed it for the first time yesterday and all the colour has ran, (really bad) washed @ 30'c as per label)

As the size was 6 months + and we purchased when our son was born I can not find the receipt..

What are my chances of getting an exchange for the item?

    No chance?
    Maybe?
    Probably?

Is it worth me jumping in the car to do a 40 mile round trip to go check ??

(the customer services phone number is the same for all stores and is closed till Monday!

    Thanks

    Rick

You'll probably get an exchange of whatever the item price is now. Very similar thread about next last night. At least you have admitted you don't think you have much chance.

I called in as i was out and about anyway..

In summary... the item had been reduced to £5.00 at its lowest price, (apparently) so they were only able to give me £5 off my purchase or on a gift card..

So I took the £5.00 off an item I purchased today..

I paid £15 for the item months ago, so i guess £5 is better than nothing seen as though i did not have the receipt..

I went there expecting nothing... so £5 was a bonus.

thats bad because mamas and papas always take your full details when purchasing an item fro them so if you return after 9 months they should have all details of your purchase. I think they pulled a fast one......
