Lidl returns?







I purchased a Lidl Parkside gas powered glue gun a few
months ago cost £19.99. hotukdeals.com/sea…as.
Used it twice came to use it for the third time over the weekend and it won’t
ignite. Anybody know if I can return to Lidl WITHOUT the receipt? I have
looked everywhere for the receipt but can’t find it.

    I've returned something without a receipt.

    Very straightforward and excellent customer service....don't go direct to the store, first contact Customer Services on 0800 977 7766 or 0370 444 1234; explain the situation and they will send you out a letter to take to the store where you will then get a refund. At least, that was my experience - the letter arrived within a couple of days.

    Aldi normally have a date and year on the item to show proof of manufactured date.
    Look around the item then that may enough proof

    Thank you, contacted customer service as per HUKDWatcher0309 suggested and conversation went the way you said it would. Letter coming in a couple of days

    They don't take any item back without a receipt I've rang the customer helpline as mentioned and they don't do it at all

    Is the item faulty? If so, you only need proof of purchase - this can be a bank / credit card statement if you have it.

    Lidl don't accept credit cards, but I always pay cash anyway. I now have a box for all receipts, just in case.

    I’d swear blind I tried to use a credit card in Lidl within the last two years and was told they did not accept them.

    I live in Weymouth in Dorset, my Lidl local branch has been allowing the use of credit cards for several years now. The problem i recently boughr a toaster and found when i got home and opened the box that it was too small, wanted to return it but apear to have lost the receipt, and have looked every where and i only had a small window in which to return, but i paid with a debit card, and my bank no longer issues statements, everything is on-line, unless i get a mini statement print out from the local branch.

    Lidl will not refund, according, to my telephone conversation with them, if is it is mistaken purchase. I bought the wrong size of LED lamp screw fitting which was not suitable for what I wanted. Not a faulty product.

    i had an interesting conversation with Lidl Customer Services about a refund without receipt of a Parkside lathe. i said the item was unsuitable as underpowered. I was told the strict policy was refund/exchange with receipt only. i explained that the store manager and the hotukdeals blog said the policy was to refund: a letter would be sent to me which i could present to the store. Once more i was told this is not correct, unless the item is defective. I explained that it was not suitable because is was underpowered and didn't do the job. The adviser asked if i was saying it was defective. I said that i am not an electronics or lathe expert, but it seemed to me it was if it did not do the job. She then agreed to initiate a returns process. Phew!
