Riddle me this

You are on holiday on an island in the middle of a lake. The island is in a remote part of Norway and there is no bridge connecting the land to the island (you arrived to the island in a rowing boat) Everyday a tractor and wagon gives hay rides all around the island to all the children. Puzzled as to how the tractor arrived on the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air, nor was it built on the island or the island broke of a larger piece of land. How might the tractor have arrived there?

    by air

It drove there when the lake was dry.

    drove across the ice

Nope it was driven over the lake when it froze like guerilla said.
