Royal Mail and eBay . . .

So I purchased a item on ebay on the 15th of october, paid straight away, this item was for royal mail 2nd class recorded.
1 week later I messaged the seller asking for the tracking number as I hadn't received the item, no reply...
A day after that I sent the same message, to a reply of "sorry I have been on holiday, your item has now been posted", I messaged back saying okay thanks for your reply.
I still haven't received the item, seller claims was posted on the 23rd, first avoided me asking for tracking, then after the 4th time me asking stated that she never sends items recorded at all so she doesn't have a tracking(the listing stated sent by recorded) just a receipt for standard 2nd class parcel.
I haven't received the item still, although buyer stated posted over a week ago, I am slightly annoyed as they have received feedback from other items they sold from much later auctions than mine even though they apparently was on 'holiday'.
Do you think the buyer is having me on, as the item was cheap for what it was(handbag), but there was no reserve, and finally... should I leave neutral/negative feedback for this?

Buyer will not refund me either, she says she rang Royal Mail and they said give it few more days, or the case I opened will refund me in 7 days...

File a dispute with paypal and get your money back that way.

I would file a claim with ebay and paypal. If she cannot prove that she has sent the item you will be entitled to a full refund.

Ok thanks guys, I just didn't want to leave negative if it was a general Royal Mail error, I have asked the buyer numerous times for a copy of the receipt, but she always avoids my answer and says it will turn up!

I have never left negative before, I wouldn't even know what to write, as she claimed she was on holiday, then about sending recorded then it wasn't etc

Ok thank you, she was adamant in a message that she never sends any items recorded, and it was 2nd class only, slightly annoying as now I make sure I bid on items with recorded postage incase of mishap, sadly I have the feeling the item will be relisted soon by her. It's really hard as I make a effort to message her kindly and ask for help regarding the receipt etc and all I get back is one sentence in text talk which has no relevance to me what so ever!

If it was an RM error the seller should at least be able to scan and email you the proof of posting to prove it was sent even if it wasn't sent RD,you could ask them for this

I asked the seller, this is where she told me she rang them and they said give it a few more days for it to turn up.
What I don't understand is why would she want me waiting if it hadn't been sent, as nobody is gaining anything? Makes me wonder if it actually has been sent oO

Ok thank you for this, I feel slightly apprehensive leaving negative feedback, as like I said I don't even know what to write! I can imagine receiving feedback back stating Im a bad ebayer or something in retaliation even though it is a positive

She has 101 feedback and no negatives at all, most the feedback is a buyer though, I think you could be right, however I am determined to negative her for it now, thanks sassie

it isnt really worth her responding, she knows she will lose anyway, so will justy make you wait that bit longer now for a refund, by not responding she knows paypal wont refund you till after the 7th day

just leave it dude.... ignore the email, and any others she sends. Shes clearly a lunatic, so let paypal/ebay dish it out on your behalf.

People changing the postage methods can be really annoying. I recently bought a digital piano on ebay which stated it could be posted and what the fees were. I duly paid up as soon as auction ended, then got an email from the seller to say actually could I come and collect it as the item was "quite heavy" and they didn't have anything to put it in. I pointed out that this might have occurred to them before they put up the listing.

Well I originally bought the bag for special occasion and bought it 3 weeks early thinking it would turn up, I just now feel sorry for the other people buying off her that like Sassie says think the way I do about it and don't leave appropriate feedback!

Thanks everyone for your help, you have been more than helpful, I think best option is to ignore her, as all I am getting is excuses and just leave it to the claim which hopefully I will win

he neg wont be fo being on holiday it will be for not issuing a tracking no when asked and constantly refusin t refund or help you
