Royal mail delivery

I got "something for you" card from royal mail as I wasn't home earlier. On the back of the card it says that my item is waiting at my local delivery office.

I was wondering, if that is the case, do I still need to arrange for a local collect service online? I believe there is a £1.50 charge now for this service.

My question is if it says my items is in my local office, do i still need to arrange it and if not, do i still need to pay when i collect?

what about if i arrange for a redelivery, is there a fee? thanks

wut?!

jus take the card to your delivery office and pick it up

If the item has been left at your local post office ...no charge just go and collect it ..but if its been left at the main depot..a charge of between £1.50-£5 to get it...dont forget to take I.D.

parcel force will charge if they have to take the item back to the main depot..they have done this since dec 2010. if the drop it off at your local post office then no charge

you can arrange for a free re-delivery to your address, just make sure your in because it really **** me off when that happens, or pay a small fee of 50p ish, not sure of that, and it can be dropped at your local post office, or just go to your delivery office and collect it there, a lot of d/o now have 1 late night opening per week, it should say on back of card if they've been issued with new ones

I think this is a total rip-off - charging for what someone has already paid to have delivered. Sometimes I'm actually in when they try to deliver someting and then I have to chase them up.
Not opening for long on a Saturday is also useless when this is often the only day that people can go to collect.

if postie takes to your local office u dont need to pay, if u arrange for local collection then there is a £1.50 charge

Thanks I didnt know this

You normally have to wait 48hrs before you can collect it after card has been left it normally says so on the back of the card I have been caught out a few times on this one when the space has been left blank.

Its free to collect from your local c.o (callers office) a post office is not the same as a callers office.
the callers office is the building where the postmen/women work. You can arrange to collect it from your post office. they will charge you a handling fee. why do some people expect it to be free, when it costs them . We are lucky they dont charge for redelivery.
