Royal Mail - Sending items recorded delivery

Im wanting to sell some games/dvds/etc in the FS/FT section (and potentially start selling on ebay!) but i don't know how much these guys are going to rip me off for recorded delivery..

Anyone have any experience of sending dvd sized packages and know roughly how much it'll cost per package? Don't want to be passing on a 5 quid delivery charge thats all...

Cheers all

i think when i last posted off a ps3 game, it was around £1.05 or £1.10 for 1st class recorded -

1st Class recorded - £1.40
2nd Class recorded - £1.25

This is for a standard size DVD.

The above prices are correct for below 100g, i've just weighed a single disc DVD and it comes to nearly 100g with no packaging, Cost would be £1.55 2nd class or £1.70 1st.

I think recorded delivery is 76p on top of the stamp price.

Sold a few Xbox 360 and Wii games on ebay recently and 1st Class Recorded Delivery came in at £1.70 (plus about 20p for the Bubble Envelopes - 5 for a £1 at Poundland).

thanks for the replies, reckon i'll put a few up FS then! last time i sent something it cost me £9 and it wasn't that big or heavy! must've been a dodgy post office

I've sent lots of games off 1st class recorded. A DVD sized jiffy bag containing a game and it's box will cost £1.70 to send first class recorded.
