royal mail....crap!

my partner been waiting for quite a few packets this week off ebay, our regular posty been off this week, got the red card posted yesterday morning, she collected all of them this morning ans some dated 16th & 17th july and everyone would have fitted through the letterbox apart from one, and that was for someone in the next street!
lucky enough i'm a postman in a different office and managed to take it round to make it look ok!
my point is that 1st off its always the postman thats nicked your goods,
but it must be common for the posty to make a genuine mistake and wrongly deliver an item and they keep it for themselves

so the moral of this story is that not all postman are thieving scum some are just to stupid to read addresses.

bout right!

actually this was the fault of the person who works in the delivery office, we all make mistakes, thats why they pop rubbers on pencils!

I agree ive had so many examples of mail never arriving including bank cards, cheques as well as getting other peoples mail and having properly addressed items returned to sender as "undelivered" and "not known at address" but the Royal Mail CS people in Plymouth seem to be doing nothing about it

You must be unlucky, I live in Plymouth and have wonderful posties, go out of their way to help, and cs have always been nothing but polite and helpful whenever I've asked them something

Lol yeah carrying a heavy bag around for half a day seems a bit lazy to me. Think of all those poor office workers exerting all that energy at their desks.

if walking a few miles with a "heavy" bag is too much for them maybe they should have stayed in education a bit longer and got a decent job

i'm afraid that very soon, despite the fuel prices we'll soon have 1 van per 2 posties

Maybe. Or maybe people with a good education like yourself I'm guessing? Would have known the point being made was that their lazy not whether it's a good job or not.

I'm a postie and i know mistakes happen when delivering, i have made my share. I also know that there are bad apples in every barrel. I work with some, but one thing you cannot call us is lazy. You cant appreciate the amount of mail that gets sorted by hand in the morning in less time than it takes some people to get ready for work. Mis-sorts make their way into delivery pouches every day but far more mail gets delivered despite having no/wrong or an incomplete address. Thats down to hard work.
