How does this work please i have found flights on ryanair for £109-96 and that says it includes online check in, and at onthebeach i have found exact same flights for £95-50 but no mention of online check in

  1. Misc
  2. Ryanair

exactly what it says on the tin you check in online with your details/passport number so you already have your boarding pass (outbound and return) when you turn up to the airport, so you just need to go through to security and then the departure lounge.

I dont know about "onthebeach" so not sure if there would be any extra charged incurred when you get to the airport by having to physically check in

Personally I would pay the £109.96 for online check-in. Saves all that time queueing

right, thank you, that was the bit i was confused about, and is it 10kg hand luggage (free), doesnt say on ryanair, on the beach says includes 10kg hand luggage only

silly question but how long before do you check in online?

Online check-in is available from 15 days prior up to 4 hours before the scheduled times of flight departure. Please note - Online check-in closes 4 hours prior to flight departure.

I think you should avoid online check in due to the number of problems you have with your computer.

You could use a library, but that might also have a problem.

Be safe and check in at the airport.

kthxbii

dont ryanair charge a ridiculous amount like £40 per person for EACH flight for airport check-in?

really naughty of onthebeach to not specify this.

it says this at onthebeach

2 Adults x £46.00

Total Financial Protection: 2 x £1.75
Flights Total: £95.50

Total Holiday Cost: £95.50

Yes they do but Ryanair have changed their policy and from May 20th last year have included this

The online check-in fee is charged per person/per flight and applies to all passengers making new bookings from the 20th May 2009 onwards click here for fee details. Occasionally, Ryanair offers special fare promotions which will waive the online check-in fee.

So think Sassie's quote does include this

Dont be nervous as normally you find your saving a good bit by booking flights and holiday separate.

This is from the Onthebeach website re. online check in

On line check in
Please note that some no frills airlines require you to check in online. Where applicable your paperwork includes instructions regarding the online check in procedure. Failure to check in online will result in check in fees at the airport which you will be liable to pay for.

So I think you would have the extra charge STILL to be paid if you checked in online with that company

also remember with ryanair, its not just about the 10kg hand baggage-its all about the DIMENSIONS of the bag-dont get caught out!

remember that cabin luggage has loads of restrictions of what you can take (e.g no toothpaste / sun cream over a very small limit etc etc).

It doesn't look as if the on-line check in is included and If you aren't booking direct with Ryanair I'm not sure how you would do the on-line book in as you need their refs, so you would have to check in at the airport, which would cost lots. If I were you I would book directly with Ryanair - it does exactly what it says on the tin, if you make sure that you only get what you want to. I guess that if you don't have the correct mastercard you will have to pay the card fees but I suspect that may be the same with the onthebeach.
Do you want to use PM/email/phone and I'll go through the process with you bit by bit on the computer ?

Im flying with ryanair friday for the 1st time, I am also going for 5days, It will be the 1sknow now is t holiday abroad where its just me and the kids and I have been so nervous, I have checked in online and found it all really simple and I can't believe how much you actually can take as hand luggage, I have measured and weighed my cases and there all fine. All I need to know now is do I need to put my own labels on my luggage or does ryanair supply them?

we have got this holiday for 5 days all inclusive for just over 250 each, cant find anything cheaper than that, and as its all inclusive we dont have to worry about spends, it will all be paid for before we go and just needa couple of quid to take, cheapest i can find for a week all inclusive is double this and then we would need to add £40 and tansfers for flight home 2 days early

which size and have you checked the measurements when packed are 55cm x 40cm x 20cm

we are also going on our first ryan air flight myself and two children this July and i have had a fair ordeal getting bags. I have paid for one hold case and we have three cabin bags .
I ordered one cabin max bag with scales which came in a reasonable £29.00 but then went back a week later to get another two at £19,[email protected] to find them inflated to £39.99, so began another search i now have two rucksacks from argos one on offer for £9.99 at 45litres and another 50 ltrs £24.99 both within the size limits. They are both proaction ones. I think These will be better for the kids than hand held luggage so they dont put them down here and there and keeps out hands free.
