Safari and wine honeymoon

My fiance & I are planning our honeymoon and our dream is to go on a safari. We are also big fans of wine and are ideally looking at incorporating some wine tours/tasting into our travel.

From a financial perspective, we're already stretching ourselves with the wedding so we're trying to be as economical as possible. Does this kind of holiday tend to be less expensive by booking all the aspects such as flights, accommodation, experiences separately or as a package? Also, if anyone here has done such a trip before, it would be great to hear experiences and recommendations!

You are basically describing the first episode of the latest season of The Apprentice! One team put on a wine tasting day and the other organised a safari. In South Africa if that’s any help?!

Franschoek wine tram approx £12, safari be a few hundred, flights 6-8 hundred, accomodation you can get for about 300 a week. Best safari needs a flight to Johannesburg
Safaris don't need to cost the earth!
The Eastern Cape of South Africa has many good game drives available.
