Safety trainers recommendations

Posted 1st Apr 2023
Looking for recommendations for safety trainers - budget is £30 - £40.

It's for home DIY type use which I seem to be doing more of.

Currently I wear Nike's which are falling to bits so thought I'd get some task appropriate footwear.

Appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks.

Only buy cheap if you get the best cheap.

Having your foot crushed is not fun for the sake of £10-£20

Go for an S3 rating with a 200J cap

Link just a starter for you to work on.

DeWalt, Lee cooper etc most branded ones are good. I would buy of eBay if you are happy to as I normally pick them up for a lot less then Screwfix etc as lots of tradesmen get free pairs every year that they clear off.
Last Lee cooper was very comfortable compared to the DeWalt one. But another tip is to put extra gel insoles and it makes a huge difference if you are on your feet all day.

Lidl often do them for a reasonable price.

I have never found a problem with breaking in Toe-Tectors, but you do pay the price for them, although they are very comfortable.
    I agree with gel inserts
