I have just happily bought a discount code on ebay & i was wondering what peoples views are on the sale of discount codes, links to discount voucher websites, reservation codes say for Argos, lego minifig barcodes etc etc on Ebay. I think every man for themselves and its a supply & demand situation. I realise this is of no importance at all I'm just curious!

I paid £5 for a £50 off voucher for jewelery once, that coupled with some amazing topcashback saved me around £170 on one item. Not bad for 10 minutes on the net. those who can't be bothered are subsidising us who can.

why not, if you want something bad enough, why not pay that little extra, and perhaps argos etc should consider changing their policy so that others can't profit from their system.

+1, I don't understand why people buy them off eBay, the amount of time it would have taken to log on, search for the voucher, bid and pay they could have found them on here or google in less time and for free.

However the reservation codes I think is greedy, especially children's toys around Christmas time.

i know i shouldn't do it but if its the only way i can get the toy my little one wants, i'll buy one.
I do think the shops should change their policy to stop people reserving loads of things and then selling the codes on.

I mean the people selling the reserve codes are greedy, not the people buying them as I know when a child has their heart set on something there's nothing worse than disappointing them.

suprised ebay allow it to be honest

agree with both sides, as a parent you will do anything to make sure santa has a helping but then sometimes Im amazed at how much people will charge on Ebay, but then if I wasn't quite as lazy I could search I guess....:)

i know that's what you meant, sorry if you thought otherwise, and i also know i shouldn't encourage them in their profiteering, but when the kid wants something i would throw women and children under buses to avoid disappointing him.

Think about it how would it work? Means you couldn't get a friend or family member to collect for you and imagine the queues around xmas with staff doing these checks.
Why would Argos care who they sell to? They are running a business at the end of the day,
