Same Tablet or Argos Specs Wrong

Hi Guys, Have decided to buy a tablet to take travelling last minuite, I'm limited to where I can buy one being so late, decided on one from Argos as they're open late tonight

Decided on the Lenovo Yoga 3 8"

argos.co.uk/pro…606

I've noticed the RAM is only listed at 1GB, I've also seen it for the same price inc the same £20 reduction on Currys/PC World and Amazon but with 2GB ram

pcworld.co.uk/gbu…tml

Is it likely the Argos specs are wrong? I'm already a bit reluctent as I could have no doubt got a better deal finding something posted on here, don't want an even worse deal! as someone who's not keyed up on computers RAM is quite important right? - i'm sure ive seen posts saying Argos list things wrong, really wanted to know if anyone thought this was likely?

Many thanks

If you want to buy electronics from argos, you need to check the specs elsewhere, usually there is so many mistakes on their website

Tab 2 was 1 gig... Tab 3 is 2 gig. Error then I guess.

I think you're getting the models muddled up THIS is the 2gb version at Argos
cross reference the EPN numbers to confirm

Argos are terrible with getting specs wrong. They'll never change. I have a feeling the person/people who write up their tech product descriptions are complete luddites who have only just started using a computer.

Argos do free viewings though. You can go in, give them the product number and ask for a viewing. If the box is sealed they won't let you open it until you've purchased it, but they will let you look at the back of the box for specs etc.

I find that a lot of products in argos and currys are very similar but usually have slightly different specifications and have different model numbers the extended warranty at argos is usual good though

Ah. Looks like there is a 1gig and 2gig version then.. I thought the tab 3 was upgraded to 2gig ram but that's not the case. I stand corrected. Best go to store and look then I guess.

Yes Its possible, I noticed the case is sold separately for £8.99 (down from £19.99) on its own so maybe the they've bundled them together and reduced the tablet by £20 but not the case thats why its £129 combined? - sounds confusing now! as other have said the listings are sometimes a bit off! - I'll check it out in store

Thanks.

if the product is not overly expensive - an ipad/iPhone or high value phone, then you can open the box and view the item. So with this tablet, I would say it is worth going into the store and asking to view it, even if it is just to double check the specs on the back of the box.

what time will u be free all the supermarkets usually stay open later if u can find anything better or cheaper there aswell if you wanted try not sure about curries timing

I've only really got a Argos outlet open till 8pm and a Asda (24 hours) but they normally don't have much in tbh, its my fault leaving it so late, I'm flying off to NZ at 5am so will be a real last minute rush to pick up something, I'm sure better deals are out there but its the long battery life of this tablet thats winning it for me, off now to see if its the correct specs? 1 in stock apparently!

cheers.
