Does anyone have this problem?

i cant remember the code for the tv but its the Samsung flat screen HD 32", we put the speaker level up to 30 and after that when there is a low sound on a program the speakers start vibrating and making a noise.

how do i get rid of this, do you think i should send the tv back to the manufacture?

You could try this

The DTV can lock up and that module can only be reset by a service visit (you pay for this when it's out of warranty). It's possible to reset via Remote but samsung wont tell you how (tv on, power button, info, menu, mute, power button) and then you can do a full reset.

I've used this to fix a DTV problem by reseting it. Do you at your own risk though.

why what could happen?

it is still under the year warranty, which if anything did happen i could say "well i dont know what happened"

I have no idea mate.

All I can say is my DTV locked up, and couldn't change channels. Did that, and all fixed again, and even made my speakers louder and clearer

Up to you though!

i dont run the DTV tho, i just run the sky thru it

I have got sky. If you just go through the control process it brings menu, up, had a flick through and I think there was an option to reset the TV. Think it just re-installed the software etc

Resets the whole TV, not just DTV, hence why my speakers improved. Once again, its up to you. I just took a shot

I have heard running thru some review sites that the speakers do sometime rattle.....which is pretty **** coz you cant turn the tv up loud !!

ill see if it works and if not ill phone samsung.

thanks matey and rep given, if you have any more advice please post lol

Hmmmmm? I turn mine up loud all the time to no problems. Before my reset, Id say my speaker level set at 30, is the equivalent of 20 after my fix.

Let me know how it goes

Original Poster

will do, ill try it this afternoon after my work

Good luck, do let me know how it goes.

Sounds like the speaker has blown. Probably need replacing. Contact the manufacturer!

I had exactly the same problem. Its a known issue with the machines. Basically, the speaker shield becomes loose (well a screw hodling it in place becomes loose) and so needs an engineer to open it up and screw it back in.

Had mine done a few weeks ago (was using it through my hifi up until then) and all is well again.

Oh and for the record, Samsung will send out an approved engineer to your house, but will take the unit away for repair, so make sure you have a spare lying around (I had to use a 14" crt for 5 days!) lol.

Agreed, a common fault, lesson, don't buy Samsung TV's, they obviously are not very well engineered.:giggle: :giggle:

When your TV is on, press the 'TV' button, red power button so it goes off, info, mute, then power button so it comes back on.

When its back on, a special menu comes up. Just tried it again.

Original Poster

so you dont press menu now?

Sorry, yes you do, I was going by your quote.

(tv on, power button, info, menu, mute, power button)

Where the TV on = the 'TV' button.

Original Poster

just tried it mate, nothing happened.

1 sec, i will try on mine again, your lucky xfactor is on a break

I just done it again, the menu comes up. Try again, try to keep it 1 second between each key press.

.......hmmm that didnt sound right !!

Can't wait, seriously think shes the only one with talent.

Yeah give it a go tmrw, I'm busy tmrw sorry, got other Samsungs to see too

Well My samsung is VERY loud, I never have it above 15(not even sure maximum if its 50 or 100, more likely 100 as on 10 theres more than 5 times the space left on bar)

Yep got to 50(sore on the ears) and its only half lol.

Anyway its great.

Now NEVER get a Goodmans hdtv mne rattled even at very low volume

Well worth the £300 for the size(32") refurbished.

Shame never saw them again as my flatmate wants one.

Right Deal4me, i switched the sky box off then did a Plug and play reset which scans for all channels including digital channels

Now iv got DTV now which i never had before and when it was on that i tried the buttons, when the tv switched back on there was like a purpely screen with the words Samsung Electronics at the right hand side.
Altho i only see it for a couple of seconds then it reverts back to a normal program channel.
Iv tried it loads of times but it still doesn come up the menu, i think im half way there but it just doesnt want to show me the menu lol

Saxo, in the last few weeks, my Samsung 32" LCD HDTV has developed lines on the screen.

I rang Samsung direct as just out of warranty. They were most unhelpful and gave me a number of the repairers costing £125 before parts.

So as just out of warranty I contacted the sellers with a standard letter from Trading Standards quoting the Sales of Good Act and they called me up and got someone to collect it Thursday and will either repair/refund or replace. It has also worked for a refund with my Xbox 360 that developed a fault last week and Argos are giving me a full refund even though out of warranty.

Bad week for me in a way, but just got Xbox elite instead and waiting till tomorrow for news on the tv.

So happy that I am not out of pocket.

Let me know if you want a copy of the letter.

LOL mate, that Samsung Electronics always happens when you have the DTV channel on, its always there, but since you never use DTV, you'll never have seen it!

The menu has no background colour and displays over the TV images in yellow font.

Original Poster

ah for dam go sake lol
