Samsung DVD drive drivers helppp

Found 4th Aug 2009
Anyone remember the Samsung Laptop from Argos a while ago?

I think it was the R505. The other day I went to use the DVD burner for the first time and it didn't work.

I have tried burning with various programs, various disk makes and types and various different types of files. So I think its the burner.

From what I can gather its a Teac DV-W28 - I can't find any drivers or firmware or anything for it on the net - can anyone help?

You shouldn't need drivers for it, the operating system will use standard drivers with it - does it show up ok in device manager?

can you install download from mirror 8 and then go into settings and change to write mode and then put a blank dvd in writer and paste log file in here or copy and paste the info from the right hand side pane

Tools/settings/events/ set program write and then apply/ok
It shows up in device manager - I will try uninstalling and installing now.

ImgBurn logs - not sure which one you wanted, nothing seems to happen when I change to write mode and put a blank dvd in - did you mean to actually attempt to write to the disc?

I'll paste them anyway - first is from the log below the main screen :
