    Samsung WIS09ABGN dongle issues

I have just put the new dongle into the TV and after ages figuring out what my password is I now have it on the network. When I go to the data via the TV I get the following message
REQUEST CAN NOT BE COMPLETED. MEDIA PLAY WILL RETURN TO THE MAIN SCREEN

    Any suggestions??
I assumed, maybe incorrectly, that I would be able to play my music and videos straight to the TV.
    Or am I wrong????

check things on here these might include update firmware in dongle / on tv etc. ...

Best bet try this FIRST before the advice on the above websites (not read it) log into your router enable upnp and enable dhcp and apply/ reboot etc. set TV to get an IP automatically as well as dns auto etc if needed.... USE no security to test first then introduce WEP security then test, then WPA until it all works/ turn off windoze firewall

It can find the network and sees the users but I just though maybe I need to change the computer settings to allow other devices to use the files??
Is this correct or have I officially not got a clue!

Computer's firewall might be blocking the connection from the TV, so as suggested above, try turning off your firewall on the computer.

Which version of Windows do you have? You might need to enable file sharing on the computer, but I'm not sure - never used a telly which has a network connection.

Any space or character in the router SSID you need to change according to some info I glanced @ b4 which indicated that the dongle/TV does not like SSID with spaces or unusual characters like /.> etc

Authorize your shares/hardware/devices within the operating system / software you are using

All sorted. Had to go into the network settings and allow the TV access to the files. Easy when you know how.
Now just to wait for the PS3 and speakers to be delivered
