Can anyone recommend a decent sat nav please, ideally quick delivery or available on the high street?
I've just sold our old tomtom, which although was good, needed both the postcode and street name inputting before it would find anything! Not always great if you dont actually have a road name to work with!
Thanks for any help!

perhaps your tomtom was way old, my year old tomtom isnt so fussy

tomtom are still the best/easiest to use

Get a nokia mobile that uses free nokia maps, it will search for anything and find it

Need a sat nav unit really for ease of use and to share with hubby, he's NOT having my phone!
Yeh it was a pretty old tom tom, maybe I'll just look for a newer model of those

try this one...I bought the 4.3" version for a friend and he loves it. You can download tomtom onto it

The technical prowess of the N30 is elegantly complemented by its slimline design. It might be a slender 13mm wide, but that sleek form disguises powerful GPS performance. Its next-generation capabilities range from postcode searches to highly reliable and accurate positioning and route planning with the latest maps for the UK 2010.
What’s more, we’ve overhauled our software to make the 3.5” touchscreen much easier to use – and far more intuitive to get to the features you want.

I didn't use it but my friend loves it. He's a breakdown guy for a tyre company and needs it for out of the way places so I'm sure he wanted a postcode facility.

Alternatively:

bigpockets.co.uk/pro…aps for the same price + delivery, has Win CE5 so you can install TomTom and others.

Or with the refurb Binatone on Maplins for £39.99 I think.
