I dont think you'll go far wrong with the Garmin. They use Navteq maps which are amongst the best out there. I have heard that some of the Garmin models struggle to pick up satellites in really built up areas but, this may be user specific.

Its any entry level sat nav that doesnt have fancy add ons like some others. So if you dont need bluetooth handsfree dialling for your phone or a built in mp3 player then this should do the job.

Garmin do a compare products here so you can see the difference between the model you're going for and other more expensive ones such as the 770.…_GB

I think the only difference between the 200 and the 250 which is the next model up is that yours will probably only have UK maps whereas the 250 has most of Europe. The 250 is back in stock at Amazon for £114.90.…8-1

    Hope this helps:thumbsup:

i got the Garmin Nuvi 300 for christmas and would definately recommend it to anyone.

really easy to use, upon power up it picks up satellites almost immediately.. and ive been able to use it indoors aswell.. which is fairly impressive..

    its super slim aswell..

the only bad thing id say is the speed camera facility, you get 3 months free trial then have to pay if you want to keep it.. boo i say!

my friends got an older Garmin model, still a very good sat nav.
