    Sat Navs

Im trying very hard to narrow down my search so i can buy a sat nav. I am willing to spend around £100 but when i narrow it down to one i see a comment saying dont get that particular brand.
I was first going to get the ebuyer one at £44.99 but dont want hassle of downloading then i narrowed it to Navman s70 3d but someone commented saying dont get Navman
What i really want is a good sat nav but a really good deal.
    Any suggestions??
    what about Garmin???

I think for the price the navigo is a cracker, I currently have one and its great, Really easy to download the software if you need to. Although the navigo does come with software installed already which may be suitable for yourself

i know this is navman, but this looks quite a good deal. could get cheaper with codes!

You also get a case with this, which you dont with a navigo. This doesnt bother me but maybe something you require

I have only ever been a passenger to a navman a while ago so cant comment on what the software is like

Get yourself a TomTom ONE, I got mines when it was £75 from ebuyer, think its up to 80 now, not sure. But unless you want all the frills n luxuries of high end sat navs the TomTom ONE will do the job and do it well.

    +1

It's just a thought, but if you think you may want to have a holiday on the Isle of Man, Guernsey or Jersey, make really sure the maps in the GPS you choose really cover these places - and I can confirm a satnav is a really useful thing on Guernsey (Nice place, too)

According to TeleAtlas, who provide mapping for some TomTom and some others, the Isle of Man, Guernsey or Jersey simply don't exist!

Navteq maps, as used on Garmin models is fine.

Why would you need a Sat Nav on the IOW, you can drive around it all in half an hour?

Well you wouldnt believe me if i told you that when we were there a couple of years ago we got lost in Ryde. The roads were all so small and we had the caravan on the back and my husband was not happy. The signs there are few and far between

I've got one of the ebuyer one's with the downloaded software and it works a treat defiantly recommend one, If you send us a card I could always copy the software onto it if you don't want the hassle of the download (even though it's dead easy! ,hope this offer doesn't break any site rules?) then you just stick it in the unit and away you go.
