My wite, a teacher, tells me that there has been another big mixup with the markers. Also, they have lost thousands of papers, which might mean children resitting their SATS.

I heard about something like that too! Poor kids! I remember my year 9 sats, I had the highest grade in the bottom 4 math sets, yet I was put in the second lowest class! imo sat's are pretty strange! Yet good!

Good luck & I hope your child(ren) do well! xx

I am a marker and so long as the papers were lost after being marked, the childrens marks are safe.

i mark KS2 maths and i was also sent 500 sets of science as well!!! the new company have really messed up, nothing to do with the markers, who have been marking for years

I seem to remember an article on the net 2 weeks ago that there is a delay in KS3 results and that KS2 will be in week of 15th-

The SATS are government tests aren't they?

Here we go again... how many times is it the government have managed to lose important data

    Oh noez! Tory Rebllionz!

At my daughters parents evening last week they said they had had there results back (she's 10) and that the school themselves had averaged the results out. HTH

My sons school has said that they are due to arrive at school tomorrow and that parents should expect to receive them on Wednesday or Thursday this week. Would be a damn shame if they were lost, he is convinced he is going to get 100% on one of them! LOL

Still waiting for my sons year 6 results:x

    none yet here

Supposed to be getting them later this week - fingers crossed!

nope my brothers still waiting for his.

Got my sons Sats results today! http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/froehlich/a025.gif and very pleased with them,

Spoke to teacher today (parents evening) due in school tomorrow and I can have them on Friday! Not fair, want them now!

Sats results count for nothing in the grand scheme of things. they are just another test to stress kids out.
    no worries.

my son wasnt stressed by them at all. His school is very good at not making a big deal out of them for the kids, he actually enjoyed doing them and they had a big post sat party afterwards

My son loved SATS week, he actually had less work to do than in a normal school day. He didn't have any homework to do the week before, or the week of the tests. He enjoyed the test papers too. There was absolutely no pressure at all whatsoever, and certainly no stress, it was an enjoyable time for him - the media create the hype! If I hadn't asked the teacher when the SATs were going to be, I wouldn't have even know he had them that week!! The SATs don't stress the kids out, its the parents and media that stress over them IMO.

Anyway, he got his results today, 5 for everything  - no revision and no stress involved and even got a Wii game from me, so he is well pleased and can't wait to do them again in Secondary School, so there

To be honest, when I congratulated him on how well he had done, he asked for a Macdonalds as his treat!

    sounds good to me!

we are having a day out shopping saturday, i wonder if i'll be as lucky :whistling:

I've been told that my daughter's school were amongst those that were lost - i'm hoping that her tests weren't among them as she defo won't be resitting them. Will be finding out soon enough but i'm not really bothered what she gets. She's too young to be worrying about test results. That'll come in high school.

    got my sons

    well chuffed,

4 in the 'teacher assessment' for writing

    but 5's for the tests

great results Lou, big hugs for the little man

my daughters results for one subject were amazing!! Fluent, fantastic blah blah....
When i asked my daughter about this she said
" oh mum everyone had good marks cos the teacher was never in,so we sat doing nothin in every lesson"

Nice to see the results are a TRUE reflection!

Got the SATs today. Wish our school had a more relaxed attitude to SATs, they drilled it in the kids and made a mountain out of it! My son has Aspergers and it was a horrific experience. I told him not to worry, they are results for the school not really personally for him, his inclusion worker told him the same BUT his teacher put a lot of pressure on him - told him even if he was throwing up, he needed to come to school to take the tests. Lovely.

He's upset he didn't get all fives (got two 4s, three 5s), I think he did a fantastic job.

Big round of applause to all the kids for all their hard work - thank god, they're finishing primary school!
