Found 15th Oct 2007
Took the kids to see Nancy Drew at the weekend (thanks to HUKD) but was pretty disgusted that the poster outside the door was for that of the new Saw movie coming out end of October. It is just horrible, especially for little kids to be seeing. I found a pic of it on the net here firstshowing.net/200…er/

While on the subject, has anyone got any clues as to why the scales are reading in an anti-clockwise direction, is this normal for weighing scales? The ones in Tesco are all clockwise, so at least I can be rest assured that they didn't stick his head in a set of Tesco scales!!

Cheers

Lol, I agree. The poster is a bit gruesome but I'm sure that children won't get too scared of it, I showed my young cousin it and they're not scared of it, but they definitely don't like it! the Saw series has been excellent so far and I'm going to watch Saw 4 on the day it comes out!

Its an american film, maybe thats why the scales are that way.

I havent even seen Saw 3 yet:oops:
Keep meaning to rent it.

Original Poster

Someone pointed out that the poster for Saw I had a pic of 1 leg, Saw II had a pic of 2 fingers, Saw III had a pic of 3 teeth, so where is the 4 in the Saw IV pic?

The weighing scales are still bugging me though! Someone must know if these scales are normal - anyone?

The scales form the "4" - that is why the chain hangs down below the basket

see largeimagehost.com/img…tml

I honestly don't see the fuss. Much less controversial than previous ones.

I can see why they churn these films out one a year though. Saw 3 cost $10m to make and made over $200 domestic. That is some margin.

I think its a butcher thing my local maket has a meat stall and their scales go anticlock wise too

I heard SAW IV is not very good But I haven't watched it myself yet. I will anyway.

I think the anti-clockwise thing is more to do with the chain pulling on the measuring instrument rather than pushing down on it...

Full explanation is not really something I could give.

This is a family forum, so by the OP posting a link to the poster, they can be assured that a few more "Little uns" have seen it.

Lol awww that's meannn! My two year old just saw that! lol

cant wait to see it, saw is by far the best!!!!!

That poster appears on pretty much every double decker in our fair city
I was more shocked just seeing that they've extended beyond the trilogy, I thought it was all over!

I thought Saw 1 was excellent, Saw 2 was ok, Saw 3 was rubbish and I am not holding out much hope for number 4. Think they have done them to death now.

Did you see saw?

No, prefer the swings.

yeah i heard that theres going to be at least 6 films 6, you'd think they would come up with something new but i do like the twists at the end of all the saw movies will watch it anyways

There will be one a year until it stops making money. You can count on that. Plus they have the advantage of getting it out every Halloween. People are usually up for a scary movie - and however tired Saw is getting, has to be better than the Halloween remake FFS.
