Nah i got my £10000000000000 chq in the post and cashed it yesterday...only to be told it was ugandan dollars so got £1.50..........LOL

The way these people work is that they say they owe somebody some money (say £1,000 pounds).

They offer to pay you for your item but give you £1,000 more. So if you are selling item for say £500 they send you a cheque for £1500.

Then you pay the friend that they owe the £1000 to, leaving you with £500.

The trouble is AFTER you have paid out the £1000 you find the £1500 cheque they sent you bounces (it is forged or whatever). Often they are not interested in the item you are selling and dont even bother to collect it.

These people often say they are abroad so cannot send the money to the person they owe £1,000 so want you to do it for them.

It is one big scam so just ignore them.

(I know you probably know this, my comment is just for peole who dot know how these scammers work).

Hopefully they will die in some horrible car accident.

I still don't know how anyone can fall for something like this.

Oh Shnit!

I panicked for a minute, but then noticed my e-mail was from bruce86@gmail.com

I have sent my items, and fully expect to receive my cheque. Woohoo happy days.

Apart from sophisticated scams created by scam-artist, most can work only with half-brained, greedy idi_ots than believe that someone is offering something free.
This one, is just directed for such a people, and I do not feel sorry if they got scammed.

I only trade face to face, with something in my pocket which i could use

A scam? On the internet? Via email??

I'll have none of that talk here. The internet is a fine place full of trustworthy individuals. I have given thousands to people in Nigeria who are helping me trace a relative who died in a plane crash and apparently left me £10,000,000,000 in their will.
