Scanner needed.

    Hi,

My old dusty scanner has just scanned it's last item and is on its way to silicone heaven.

Can anyone suggest any good, cheap scanners as a replacement?

I have a printer so merely want a scanner if possible.

Thanks in advance for help!

The Epson Perfection 3490 would be my choice if I needed one right now.

I've been using an older model Perfection for around one and a half years. It's never let me down and it's done a lot of work. I'm surprised myself how long it's kept going. Not only for reliability but also the software it comes with, it's so easy to use and not a bad price from ]Amazon.Co.UK £57 delivered [use the second Add to Basket link on the page].

Seconded. This model was highly praised in media, as long as you are not expecting it to make superb film scans. Dust correction isn't as good as competition though, according to reviews.

    May take that one up.

Any other good options out there to compare and contrast?

    (cashback/vouchers a possibility?);-)

I brought one of these a couple of months ago for £50. Well worth the money, it's an excellent scanner.
