    Scart leads? What's the alternative

I need to hook up a Humax 9200 and a Technomate sat. box to my Panny Plasma TV.

At the mo. I just use scart leads but reading on here people seem to think they are the devil's work.

How else would I link the boxes to the TV?

I need 3 metre leads and don't want to spend silly money.

    Thanks

    Oops, sorry it's a 46PZ80B.

I have a blu-ray player to one of the HDMI, Wii, and VCR to connect as well.

    Cheers

3 metre HDMI ? You can use a fibre optic for your 'surround sound' although you said blueray so not sure if thats what you meant. Hook the fibre optic to the tv and you can output sound through that

Trust your eyes, forget about what "They say".
If it's fine to you, I don't see the point of changing what you have.

best bet is RGB Scart lead from this box

also connect to a surround sound system using the optical output (S/PDIF)

    Many thanks csiman, rep added.

The Humax is probably 4 years old now and bought before HDMI were widely available. Not convinced that it has one.

I will look into the other possiblitities and get some decent scarts for now.
