Trick R Treat as it's Halloween, Session 9 is an overlooked gem, not a gorefest but creepy as it gets.

Don't really like scary movies tbh
they are scary X)
The Decent was proper 'can't sleep now'

never seen one I'd consider scary ,but I love Friday the 13th ,killer clowns from outer space and dawn of the dead

I usually watch 'Hellraiser' but this year I think I'm going to do 'The Thing'.

I think 'The Shining' is the greatest horror film ever made.

hope the mods are keeping a close...

Love love love horrors, some of my faves

Paranormal activity, only the first one.
amityville horror (2005)
The houses October built
Evil dead
The shining
The orphanage
The devil inside

Loads of others but can't think of them atm.

Trick r treat
Insidious 1/2
The conjuring 1/2
The shining
Evil dead 2
I also enjoyed the Blair witch on first viewing.

I'm a fan of event horizon, deliver us from evil and the conjuring - films that bothered me a bit after watching them.
I like the classics like the shining and Halloween but they aren't scary in the slightest

Candyman

Halloween, The Thing, The Exorcist and The Shining. They don't make 'em like they used to! Is that true, or just nostalgia talking?

The film is tame in itself but Pennywise the clown is superb!

Hope they dont ruin the remake.

Another vote for Trick 'r Treat.
I also love the two Dead Snow films.

A documentary on Donald Trump is a scary proposition unless it was produced by Saturday Night Live.

Quite a few in line with other comments but more recently one film in particular I though was a bit spooky was the babadook - thought about it for a few days after.

Jeepers Creepers is another favourite - maybe not Halloween material but good all the same

The Shining, The Thing, The Exorcist all great. I remember going to the cinema in the States when the Blair Witch Project had just been released. We'd not heard anything about it apart from the blurb about it being a documentary being made by students and I thought it was pretty good as a result of ignorance, basically.
Slightly spoilt at the end when a local septic tank piped up in the dark, "I don't get it"!
Anyway, we then had to go out and find our car in a wooded parking area that was poorly lit and with nobody around...

Whoops, may have posted twice. Hadn't realised there are mods checking stuff, just thought I'd had a brain fart moment. Don't rule it out though!

So now this makes no sense as that comment has gone live before my prior comment that needs to go and be moderated.
[sigh]

THE LIFE AND TIMES OF MARGARET THATCHER. True horror movie.
