nothing wrong with dundee, just getting bored with it lol you from dundee currychops?

The weather forecast for New Years Eve up here is for severe gales and the celebrations in Aberdeen & Edinburgh (to name just two) were cancelled a couple of years back at short notice due to high winds. It might be worth keeping an eye on the forecast before you make any definite arrangements to travel. :santa:

Living in Aberdeenshire, personally I'd prefer to see in the New Year somewhere like the Seychelles...............

No ..but I spent a month working there one freezing February....had a great time..mainly because of the central heating provided by the infamous OVD rum

Guess if you live there you fancy a change ..what about a trip to Aberdeen...never been but a mate of mine seems to have a great time when he's there on business.

im thinking about aberdeen, but i think its a bit late now for B&B's hehe

You could always visit the heart of the Highlands......Inverness always put on a good show, and not as packed as some of the other cities. If you want something smaller most of the towns north of Inverness have Street Parties with music and good community spirit both Dornoch and Tain have a great reputation in resent years for throwing Street Parties, at Dornoch you can stay in the caravans but with tain it would have to be B&B or a local Hotel.

If you are interested I will see what I can find out, as I live a bit north of all these places and due to having wee kids (youngest 3 weeks old) I aint going nowhere. However my 16 year old step son is going to Dornoch because it was so good last year he says.

I thought all you tough jocks slept rough!!!

Edinburgh has always been "the" new year party in Scotland, so strange to see you wanting out... Just a change in scenery needed?

Glasgow is OK but to be honest it might get a bit boring for the family a short while after the new year actually arrives.

    Stonehaven:santa:

you too mate and thanks one again

Sheps..if I visit the Highlands I'll know who to ask for advice....such a shame that saxo cannot take advantage of your efforts..well done.

I'm from Aberdeen, we have WET WET WET playing this year, but I can't see it being very nice weather. I'm sure there are a few places you could still get a room for the night though. If I had a bed in my spare room I would let you crash there!

damn, never noticed you can't go anywhere now!
