Congratulations and no offence mate but wouldn't it have been less frustrating to buy one?

buy one what? i was always wireless, just using the supplied usb wireless adapter. i could never get my inbuilt wireless card to work. it seems to be a common problem but i got it working, and i got my gf's laptop connected too.
anyone who has had this problem will understand

When I got my laptop it was taken from me and dad and brother tried to get the internal card working, took about 4 hours before they said that it didnt have built in wi-fi and they ordered an adapter. I was pretty sure it did have one, but I could connect to the internet so I was happy.

When we had problems with the internet I played around for about 15minutes and started using my internal wi-fi proving that I was right, and it did have one! Dad thought he was the technical one in the family - but I am the one that sorts the computer/internet etc out now
